Fashion Inspiration- Alexa Chung

When I'm looking for fashion inspiration, I prefer to stay clear of celebs in the popular media i.e. the Kardashians, Beyonce, Rihanna etc, because although they all look stunning and I love their style, I cant get over the idea that they would have had stylists helping them put the looks together, and I don't deny that it they all probably love the outfit and had a huge input in it, but it's not their true style, and i don't think they would look as good if they didn't have someone giving them the final touches that make the look*. That's why when I'm looking for inspiration, I look for someone who has the capability to put together a stunning outfit without the help of someone they are paying to make them look good. The answer; Alexa Chung.

She is a prime example of how to look classy and elegant, without looking dated and dull. She always looks so fresh and relaxed, and I don't understand how someone can walk out wearing just a pair of shorts and a striped t-shirt and look so cutting edge. She has a tomboy-esque vibe to her, she is forever wearing blazers and amazing tailoring, but she does this without stepping over the line and starting to look like she dresses like a boy. I feel that she embodies British fashion, beautiful, modern and fun.

Whenever I see a new picture of her, the first thing I look at is her shoes, because my lord that lady has got some stunning shoes. If you don't believe me next time you see a snap, take a peek at her shoes. Maybe she selects the her shoes in knowledge that we will have to take more notice of her legs, and even if you don't like her or her style, nobody can deny that Alexa Chung has the most amazing legs.
